By: Colin Meadowcroft

The Angola Board of Zoning Appeals and Plan Commission both approved two cases on Monday evening.

The TKE Fraternity chapter at Trine University will build a new fraternity house at 411 Park Avenue. The plan commission approved the vacation of lots 124, 123, and 122 after the BZA approved the development plan. The development plan includes a 3,997 square foot house to occupy 24 tennants in 13 rooms, an existing duplex, a parking lot, a storage shed, and a fenced in patio area.

A development plan was also approved for Vestil Manufacturing Corporation located at 749 Growth Parkway to build a new manufacturing warehouse facility which will include two additional driveways. The addition will bring approximately 100 jobs to Angola and is the first new manufacturing warehouse in Angola in decades.

The plan commission decided to cancel the meeting scheduled for December 11, 2017 due to lack of petitions. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be on January 8, 2018.
