New Hospital Leaders and Board Members

Cameron Memorial Community Hospital has announced the election of board officers for the coming year. Serving as board Chair is Jennifer Danic, President & CEO of the Steuben County Community Foundation. Deborah McHenry with Trine University will be the Vice-Chair of the hospital board. Also serving on the board of officers is Daniel Caruso as Secretary, Barbara Short as Treasurer, and Dr. Thomas Miller in the Immediate Past President position. Cameron board officers are now elected on a fiscal year, October 1-September 30, instead of a calendar year.

Additionally, the Cameron board elected three new board members, Dr. Todd Rumsey, Dr. Oren Skinner and Dr. Dennis Zent.

Dr. Todd Rumsey: Dr. Rumsey is an area OB/GYN physician. He previously served as a physician with Women’s Health Advantage from 1995 to 2017. Rumsey holds a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University and his medical degree from Indiana University. He completed both his internship and his residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH. Dr. Rumsey is board certified and is a current member of the Indiana State Medical Association, the Fort Wayne Medical Society, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has extensive research experience as well as service on a number of area community boards and organizations.

Dr. Oren Skinner: Dr. Skinner is a retired school administrator, having served as the Superintendent of Schools for the Metropolitan School District of Steuben County from 1984 to 2002. After a successful career in education, Dr. Skinner continued his endeavors as the Development Officer and the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Steuben County Community Foundation from 2004-2011. Skinner holds a bachelor’s degree from Manchester College, a master’s degree from Saint Francis College and his doctorate from Indiana University. Skinner is a founding member and a trustee of the YMCA of Steuben County and has served on a number of boards and in leadership roles throughout the community.

Dr. Dennis Zent: Dr. Zent is a retired area dentist who specialized in Endodontics. Zent practiced from 1989 to 2016 in a private group dental practice, and from 1979 to 1989 as a dentist in the US Air Force. Zent received both his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and his Masters of Science in Dentistry degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Zent currently serves in his third term as an Indiana State Representative for District 51. As a Representative, he serves on the Local Government, Public Health, Veteran Affairs and Public Safety committees. Over the years, he has served on a number of area boards, and currently serves on the board of Shepherds House and the Howe Military Academy Board of Trustees. He is a volunteer at the Matthew 25 Community Health Clinic.
