Ohio Patrol Investigates Williams County Fatal Hit-Skip

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances that lead to the death of a bicyclist on U.S. Route 6 near County Road 450 in Williams County.
On Thursday morning just before 7 a.m. officers from the Defiance Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to reports of a person struck on U.S. Route 6. When troopers arrived on scene they discovered a bicyclist who was deceased.
A preliminary evaluation of evidence from the scene indicates the bicyclist was struck by an unknown motor vehicle that fled the scene. Investigators say that damage to that vehicle could be contained to the front right, including the headlight assembly.
