When it comes to high school enrollments, the only way Prairie Heights and Westview could be closer is if they were the same.
The Indiana High School Athletic Association released the enrollment numbers it will use to classify schools and make tournament assignments.
Westview moved up to rank 248th and Prairie Heights slipped a few spots to rank 249th. The difference was one student. Westview had 416 and Prairie Heights 415.
Angola has the biggest number in the NECC with 876. Fremont is at 303, while Hamilton has the lowest with 121.
Lakeland slipped 19 spots to rank 187th with 577 students.
Howe Military is not an IHSAA member at this time.
The IHSAA will use the figures to draw the lines in sports classifications in the next couple weeks. Tournament assignments will be determined by a committee in April according to Sports Information Director Jason Wille.
