Ohio Governor Has Issued Stay at Home Order for Ohio
By: Sheila McCrea - Sunday, March 22, 2020

A stay at home order in Ohio will go into effect at 11:59 p.m. Monday and last until April 6.

Ohio Governor Mike Dewine has issued what he is calling a "Stay at Home" Order for his state.

In an address made Sunday afternoon, Governor Dewine said, "There is nothing in this order that we haven't already been talking about. There is nothing in this that I haven't been asking you to do for the last few weeks".

DeWine says the order comes at a new stage in the fight against COVID-19. While he is calling this a "stay at home" order, it is very similar to what other states are calling a "shelter in place".

For the state of Ohio, the order will go into effect at 11:59 p.m. Monday and last until April 6.

The Governor says specific details of the order will be posted on Ohio.gov and other state, county, and local government websites.
