Hamilton Community Schools Responds To Coronavirus
Monday, March 16, 2020

It was announced that Hamilton Community Schools will be using a mix of waiver days, elearning and spring break to get through the next few weeks without students in school, all in response to the mass concern over coronavirus continuing to grow.

In an order that was announced late last Friday, the measures will be in place through April 10th, notified by Superintendent Anthony Cassel in a letter to parents. However, Cassel did reiterate that no cases had been confirmed in either Dekalb or Steuben County.

Through April 10th, on Mondays and Fridays, Hamilton Schools will be considered closed, as on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays the district will utilize e-learning days. The one exception is the week of March 23rd-27th, which is spring break.

Hamilton will be offering food service to students in need who reside within the school district’s boundaries, but does not cover the week of spring break.

Lunches will be delivered between 10:30-11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.
