ANGOLA — An Area Superintendent is sueing the school board.

A civil suit was filed in Steuben Superior Court this week on behalf of Metropolitan School District of Steuben County Superintendent Brent Wilson. According to a report from KPC Media, Wilson is suing the school board for an alleged breach of contract.

Reports from KPC Media indicate the suit was filled on March 3 by Wilson’s Indianapolis attorneys Linda L. Pence and Debra Ann Mastrian. The school corporation and seven school board members are listed as plaintiffs.

No answers have been filed by the plaintiffs. Under Indiana law, they have 20 days to file a formal appearance in the case.

At this time there are no formal court dates set.

The MSD of Steuben County Board of School Trustees are set to meet in regular session on Tuesday, March 17th. They will meet at 7:30 p.m. at Ryan Park Elementary School.
