Weekend Weather

The National Weather Service reports a disturbance will bring rain and snow chances to the parts of the area on Saturday.

Initially, snow is forecasted to move into west-central Indiana Saturday morning before spreading north. As this snow spreads northwards, temperatures are expected to warm enough to cause the snow to change to a rain and snow mix.

Forecasters say portions of our listening area could see light snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches on grassy and elevated surfaces.

Roads should not be impacted due to warm ground and air temperatures above freezing.

Some areas will see a complete change over to rain by midday. Rain and snow come to an end this evening. Dry and gradually warming conditions expected into the start of next week.
