New information has been released into the incident Saturday Night in Kendallville where three pedestrians were struck on Williams Street.

Witnesses at the scene reported that the vehicle was stopped at the red light on West Williams Street where the pedestrians were standing on the northeast corner of the intersection. As the signal turned to green, the pedestrians were walking through the cross walk and the truck began make a north bound turn.

The driver of the truck, identified as 52-year-old Garry Lytle stated that he did not see the walkers crossing the street as they were distracted by a stopped vehicle that was facing westbound on East Williams Street. Lytle stated that once the pedestrians looked back, it was too late and he had struck them.

The pedestrians involved were 30-year-old Dana Streich, as well as two children.

Streich complained of left arm and body pain, while one child sustained a laceration to her forehead, as well as a dislocated left elbow and broken arm while the second child complained of pain to her left cheek and left leg.

All three pedestrians were treated on scene by Kendallville Fire Department and Noble County EMS, and were later transported to Parkview Regional Hospital for further treatment.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision.
