A stabbing at a Fort Wayne hotel that left two people dead is still under investigation.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, officers were called to the Coliseum Inn, just south of the intersection of Coliseum Blvd. and Lake Ave., at about 7:15pm Tuesday night after someone saw a Hispanic man walking in the area, covered in blood.

Police found two men suffering from stab wounds; one was pronounced dead at the scene, the other died during surgery at a nearby hospital. Neither of their names have been released at this time.

After spending almost two days searching for the suspect, Police arrested Pedro Salas Lopez, age 30, on two counts of Aggravated Battery and two counts of Battery with a Deadly Weapon on Wednesday evening.

Authorities arrested Lopez at the Rescue Mission in the 300 block of West Superior Street around 6:45.

Police said the stabbings were the result of some sort of altercation between three people.
