Bald Eagle Killed Saturday, Authorities Still Searching For Assailant

Officials from the Indiana Department of Resources is looking for someone who shot and killed a bald eagle, Saturday.

According to the department's Facebook post, the eagle was found alive near White River south of Dixie Highway, but died shortly from the gun shot wound.

Officials are asking anyone with information to call the Indiana Conservation Officers' Central Dispatch at 812-837-9536, or the anonymous tip line at 1-800-TIPDNR. They are also offering a reward for information that will lead to an arrest.
