The Bryan man accused of shooting and killing four dogs at his now-estranged wife’s home back in June, was sentenced to 12 months in prison.
The defense argued that serious health concerns, including mental health issues, on the part of Phil Taylor to be considered during sentencing.
Alcohol was also cited as playing a large role in the incident, however the prosecution countered Taylor had a history of domestic violence issues and that the violence was committed with malice in this case.
Taylor reports to Community Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio in Stryker this coming Monday, November 4th.
