Williams County Residents Encouraged To Get Flu Shot This Season
Tuesday, October 22, 2019

It is officially flu season across the region, and the Williams County Health Department says to get vaccinated. Contrary to popular belief by many, the flu vaccine cannot give you the flu.

After getting the vaccine, the human body works hard to build up protection against the flu virus. Most people who receive the vaccine go on with their day, but because the body is working, however some may feel tired, and have a low-grade fever or even get a headache.

This side effects of the shot do not last long and are minor. Health officials say get your flu shot before the end of October for the best protection.
