On Saturday night just after 9:00 P.M. Ashley-Hudson officers were notified of an alleged domestic battery that took place at a residence in the 200 block of E Lincoln St. Officers met with the complainant at a separate location and observed red marks on a child that was involved.

Officers then went to the residence to speak with a male who was involved. During the course of the investigation officers developed probable cause to arrest the male, Brandon J Woods 28 of Carthage, Missouri, for a Level 6 felony battery to a child under 14 by a person of 18.

Mr. Woods is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.
