Unemployment rates fell slightly throughout the region during the month of August, as Williams County’s jobless rate went back down to 3.4 percent from 3.6 in July. This number is still higher than June’s rate of 3.3 percent.

Officials are reporting the county’s unemployment numbers are some of the lowest within the state. An estimated 18,700 people in the county had jobs during the month of August.
