Help On Way For Unemployed Within Buckeye State

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services is partnering with a the website LinkedIn to make it easier for unemployed Ohio residents to find jobs.

Some 200,000 Buckeye State residents receive state unemployment benefits annually, and the pilot program with LinkedIn is intended to make it more convenient for them to apply for jobs and track applications.

Lt. Governor of the state of Ohio, Jon Husted, director of the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation, says participating job seekers will be able to save their job application history in one place and access useful state forms in the process as well.

They also can link to job listings, coursework and other valuable resources.
