Mayor Hickman presented the City of Angola 2020 budget to
the Angola Common Council on Monday evening.

The Angola Common Council received two bids for the Mechanic/Oak Street Sewer Rehabilitation project. Council awarded the bid to the lowest responsive responsible bidder which was Insituform at a price of $69,994. Mayor Hickman presented the 2020 City of Angola Budget which totals $19,236,500, 9.3 percent above the 2019 budget but roughly the same as the 2018 budget. The budget outlined
construction projects including, street, park, signage, sidewalks, lighting,
water utility, wastewater, and other. It also noted environmental projections for the State of Indiana citing average temperature, and rainfall and emphasized the need to seek alternative power sources and different ways to engineer run off for wet weather events.

The Common Council will gather next Monday evening to further review the budget.
