The Edgerton Chamber of Commerce presents this year's Homecoming Festival events, which are taking place July 28-29, 2017.

Kicking off the weekend on Friday will be the Hicksville Bank 5K, taking place at Miller Park. Registration begins at 5:45 pm and the race starts at 6:30 pm. The registration fee is $15, which will benefit the Edgerton EMS. T-shirts will be given to the first 70 entrants. A Texas Hold'em tournament follows the 5K at 7:45 pm at the Fire Hall.

On Saturday, the annual Homecoming Parade starts things off at 11:00 am. This year's parade theme is "Ballpark Bash," so kids can expect lots of fun summer baseball & softball-themed floats.

Following the parade is an event new to the Homecoming Festival lineup, Lawn Mower Pulls. Like a miniature version of truck pulls, this family-friendly event will begin at 2:00 pm on the Miller Park truck pull track, with registration & weigh-ins starting at noon. Taking place right next door to the Lawn Mower Pulls will be the annual Classic Car Show, beginning at 3:00 pm and trophies being presented at 6:30 pm. The Edgerton Boy Scout Troop will be serving food & beverages during the Lawn Mower Pulls and Car Show to raise money for their activities.

Closing out the festival will be the 2017 Ballpark Bash, the concert event featuring reigning NashNext champion Todd O'Neill, CMA emerging artist Shane Runion, and Toledo native Angel Edwards. Get there at 6:00 pm for the pre-show tailgate party with a beer tent and food from the FFA & local vendors, a corn hole tourney, giant bounce houses for the kids, and other activities. Music starts at 7:00 pm. Tickets are just $8 for adults, $4 for students, and kids 5 and under get in FREE
